Wedded Bliss
I'm using this site to document what we're going through in terms food, flowers, dresses, but also the daily stresses and the days after.
Hopefully some of the things that I write about or read about and share will be helpful to someone.
Just a bit of a background, we were married in a little judge's room on March 2, 2005 but everyone (my mother and her friends) insisted that we have a big wedding and since we lived in Florida, why not a big wedding in Disney? So here we are, five months away to a Fairytale Wedding at Disney.
We've known one another for a little more than eight year, lived together for about seven years and we used to live in Massachusetts before moving down to Florida. We have one cat, a few happy moments and a few headaches together. All in all it's a compatible relationship.
I am in my mid-20's, he just left his late 20's (25 and 30) and met online when the AOL chatroom was the buzz. More on that some other time.
Right now I/we have to get my/our butt(s) moving on picking the type of food, the cake, the everything. But before I go here is a poem I found today that I liked, about marriage:
Yes, I'll Marry You
Pam Ayres
Yes, I'll marry you, my dear,
And here's the reason why;
So I can push you out of bed
When the baby starts to cry,
And if we hear a knocking
And it's creepy and it's late,
I hand you the torch you see,
And you investigate.
Yes, I'll marry you, my dear,
You may not apprehend it,
But when the tumble-drier goes
It's you that has to mend it,
You have to face the neighbour
Should our labrador attack him,
And if a drunkard fondles me
It's you that has to whack him.
Yes, I'll marry you,
You're virile and you're lean,
My house is like a pigsty
You can help to keep it clean.
That sexy little dinner
Which you served by candlelight,
As I do chipolatas,
You can cook it every night!
It's you who has to work the drill
and put up curtain track,
And when I've got PMS
it's you who gets the flak,
I do see great advantages,
But none of them for you,
And so before you see the light,
I do, I do, I do!
nice poet ...
keep it up and keep sharing
